Obama's 'Quiet Campaign' to Muslim-Americans

A pro-Obama website aimed at Muslim-Americans raises concerns over how to deal with the Muslim community in America

For all of the criticism and praise that President Barack Obama has received for his handling of international relations with the Muslim world, the president has never launched an official campaign aimed at obtaining the Muslim vote in America. Now, a website that purports to do exactly that has been unearthed, the implications of which raise concerns over how to deal with the Muslim community in America.

"Muslims for Obama," which was first written about by Makor Rishon's Tzvika Klein, has no official affiliation with Obama's campaign, but uses Obama's official campaign logo, claims to be "a grassroots effort by and for American Muslims," and is used mostly to organize volunteers, receive donations and get the word out about the concerns of the American-Muslim community through frequent blogging.

"We want to create a space for American Muslims who support Obama," the site's bio reads.

Obama's official campaign website features a list of 20 or so sub groups aimed at people of different faiths and races who want to get involved in the president's re-election in a community context. Among the list are networks for Jewish Americans, Catholics, Asian-Americans, Latinos and more. "Our groups are made up of supporters organizing around the issues they care about," boasts the site. "As a member of a group, you'll be connected with an online and offline community of people passionate about re-electing President Obama.

Noticably missing from the list of groups? Muslim-Americans. With more than 2.5 million Muslims [Emphasis added]  in the U.S. they make up a significant number of voters. However, the Muslim religion in the U.S., ever since the terror attacks of September 11th, has been a contensious issue and many presidential candidates are weary of campaigning directly to the Muslim communities.

Clinton: Benghazi Attackers a 'Small and Savage Group'

Secretary of State says United States will continue to ignore the "inflammable and despicable" anti-Islamic film.

2012’s annual Eid event in the U.S. honored three young Muslim-Americans who belong to the State Department's “Generation Change” program, according to a media dispatch. U.S. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton launched the initiative two years ago.

She gave a speech on Thursday about religion, to honor the event. She said, among other things, that the Benghazi attack was committed by a "small and savage group," and that the United States will continue to ignore the "inflammable and despicable" anti-Islamic film, “The Innocence of Muslims." But she indicated that there is never a justification for such vitriol:

"When Christians are subject to insults to their faith, and that certainly happens, we expect them not to resort to violence. When Hindus or Buddhists are subjected to insults to their faiths, and that also certainly happens, we expect them not to resort to violence…The same goes for all faiths, including Islam." she was quoted saying.

"I so strongly believe that the great religions of the world are stronger than any insults. They have withstood offense for centuries…Refraining from violence, then, is not a sign of weakness in one's faith; it is absolutely the opposite, a sign that one's faith is unshakable…” she said.

Mofaz: New Yesha Housing Preceded Regulation Law

Minister Shaul Mofaz says the 851 new housing units for Judea and Samaria are not compensation for voting down the regulation law

Minister Shaul Mofaz told Israeli radio station Reshet Bet's "Meet the Press" program that Netanyahu's announcement to build 851 housing units in Judea and Samaria (Yehudah and Shomron) was not due to the falling of the "regulatory law."
According to Mofaz, the additional pre-designed building is not intended to compensate "West Bank settlers opposed to the demolition of the Ulpana neighborhood."
"The Prime Minister informed me after the vote about the additional construction tenders," Mofaz said. "The plan was in the works for a long time. It was not tied to the 'regulatory law,' and was not compensation or punishment."
"For Kadima, this vote was was very important to strengthen the rule of law in Israel. The centrist approach will take the government in the right directions," he said..

A U.S. House panel has voted to allocate $1 billion for Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system. Each of the intercepting missiles that is launched to knock out an incoming Grad Katyusha missile fired at civilians in southern Israel by Palestinian Authority Arab terrorists in Gaza costs $50,000.

The House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee appropriated $947 million for the Iron Dome, David's Sling and Arrow on Monday.

U.S. Representative Steve Rothman said in a statement that it was the highest ever appropriation in a single year for the military programs.

The House Armed Services subcommittee last month voted to add $680 million in funding for the program in its fiscal 2013 defense spending budget on top of nearly $100 million in U.S. aid for medium and long-range missile defense.

A Tale of Two Wars

There are two possible conflicts on the table in Washington. One is with Iran and the other with Syria. The Iran conflict is the one that Washington doesn't want. Its most likely trigger at this stage is an Israeli assault on Iran's nuclear program. Like most of the wars centering around Israel, this one is existential and of no interest to the philosopher kings in D.C. who wage wars with the grand purpose of making the world a better place.

Washington does not particularly care whether Iran gets nukes or doesn't get nukes. It cares about History. With a capital H. Libya got bombed because it was on the wrong side of history. Syria is about to get bombed because it's on the wrong side of history. There are people in the administration like Samantha Power who would like to bomb Israel for being on the wrong side of history, but they don't think that even J Street and Peter Beinart could spin that as a pro-Israel move.

Instead of confronting Islamic organizations posing as humanitarian, Europeans prefer others such as Israel will do so

Translated to patchy and weird English from the Hebrew (with Google translator), but still an informative article (the 'jist' of it is still sort'a understandable).

Already in 1997, French intelligence revealed the IHH leader, Bulnat Iladrim, the man and the organization behind "humanitarian rally" to Gaza, recruited young Muslim mass organizations frantic global jihad, funded them, and Doug True Muslim countries. One of the recruits was Ahmed Rasem, late 1999 was to blow up a car with 600 kilograms of explosives at the airport of Los - Angeles. Americans open an account with Iladrim since the Iraq War in 2002, Saddam Hussein Achsshiger mercenaries. Iladrim's organization is called “humanitarian organization.”

The IHH Turkey, Britain and Haynatrafal Committee for help and solidarity with Palestine (CBSP) in France are just three examples of the dangerous phenomenon that goes and buys her a foothold in capitals of Europe - their governments are afraid to deal with Hachteabot, great Islamic octopus arms, with money, the threat of terrorism and realization of an ideology radical, dropping more and more European spaces not innocent.

The mechanism of this triangle is called in Europe - ironically - "Charity Coalition". Turkey of today, the IHH is already "Erdogan's Tanzim." Turkish Prime Minister in one hand and shaking hands with Israel's second-IHH using punch like a fist against Israel, to gain public sympathy Islamic. Just as Arafat used Abmroane Barghouti.

New Jewish Singles Site Certification Process Helps Qualify Potential Dates
Singles Posted by JewishIndy on Monday, May 17 @ 17:45:31 EDT
(329 reads)

Internet dating has become popular and effective. It’s easier and safer than meeting someone in a bar. You can search for potential mates based on common interests, geography, hair and eye color, and other criteria to help you find the perfect fit.

Most dating websites provide no accountability for the profiles and people who use them. The only option today is to do a background check on your date before the meeting. If you date regularly, the cost can become prohibitive.

J2J Singles, a new Jewish singles and dating website which opened this month, provides a member-run authentication process called Certified Kosher, where other Certified Kosher members can vouch for the accuracy of the information placed in a member profile. If the information turns out wrong or misleading, both members are immediately removed from the site.
