Minister Eli Yishai (SHAS) can fool a whole pack of "Orthodox" Jews with his lack of faith. He can please a whole pack of secular Jews, too. He can give hope to our enemies who wish to murder us off. He can fool Man. But he cannot fool G-d. Why should he wrap t'fillin or don a tallit, if he doesn't have faith in G-d's promises and is not willing to fight to make them happen?
Does Yishai, with his beard, his black kippah and running to his rabbi, think he can fool this man? Some of us are smarter than he is.
Having faith in a piece of cloth - the flag of the State - or a piece of steel - the guns of the IDF - is a failed proposition. This was the lesson of Gush Qatif. Yishai has yet not absorbed this lesson.
